Separate bids will be received by the Wayne County Board of Supervisors in the boardroom of the Wayne County Courthouse, Waynesboro, Mississippi, until 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 2, 2018, for the construction of a Precast Bridge Project on Moley Wise Road, District Five, also known as Engineer’s Project No. WCBS-
1010-17. Bids will be opened in public and read aloud.

The Plans and Contract documents are on file and can be obtained at the office of the County Engineer located at 714 Hillcrest Drive, Laurel, Mississippi.

All proposals shall be directed to the attention of the Wayne County Board of Supervisors with the outside of the envelope marked “Bid Proposal Precast Bridge Project.” Contractor shall indicate certificate of responsibility number on the outside of the envelope.

Basis of Award: The award, if made, will be to the lowest and best qualified bidder. The Board intends to accept the lowest and best bid and reserves the right to reject and and/or all bids.

Total Contract Time as Advertised: 40 Working Days

The Board of Supervisors hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that, in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color of national origin in consideration of an award.

Plans and proposals may be secured from Lawrence R. Clark, County Engineer for Wayne County, located at
714 Hillcrest Drive, Laurel, Mississippi, upon payment of $80.00 which is non-refundable.

Certified Check of Bid Bond for five percent (5%) of total bid payable to Wayne County must accompany each proposal.

Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal accompanied by letter qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid, and such proposals will not be considered in making the award.
