Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Supervisors of Jasper County, Mississippi at the Jasper County Courthouse, Bay Springs, Mississippi, until 10:00 am on the 9th day of February 2023 and shortly thereafter publicly opened for the construction of 1.376 miles of RESEAL on the CR 24 (GARLANDVILLE RD) being known as Project No. SAP- 31(16)S in Jasper County, Mississippi

The award, if made, will be made to the lowest qualified bidder on the basis of the published quantities. The Board of Supervisors hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that, in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color or national origin in consideration for an award. The Plans, Specifications, and Contract documents are on file and can be viewed and obtained online via the website of the County Engineer, Lawrence R. Clark, P.E. at www.clarkengineersprojects.com. By use of the website the plan holders shall have the option of obtaining hard copy of the Plans and Specifications and/or shall have the opportunity to submit an official bid online. All hard copy proposals shall be directed to the attention of The Jasper County Board of Supervisors with the outside of the envelope marked “Project No. SAP-31(16)S Bid Proposal for CR 24 Reseal”. Contractor shall indicate certificate of responsibility number on the outside of the envelope. Online bids shall be accepted and opened as instructed on the website and in the Contract Documents. Certified Check or Bid Bond for five percent (5%) of total bid payable to Jasper County and the State of Mississippi must accompany each proposal. Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal accompanied by letters qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid and such proposal will not be considered in making the award.
