Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Supervisors of Wayne County in Waynesboro, Mississippi until 9:00 A.M., on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, and shortly thereafter publicly opened for the construction of: Reseal of Roads “A” thru “F” on 7.046 miles of State Aid Roads in Wayne County,

Mississippi, also known as State Aid Project No. SAP-77(26)S.

The Plans, Specifications, and Contract documents are on file and can be viewed at the office of the Chancery Clerk of Wayne County, 609 Azalea Drive, Waynesboro, MS 39367, the Office of State Aid Road Construction, 412 Woodrow Wilson Avenue, Jackson, MS 39216, and obtained online via the website of the County Engineer, Lawrence R. Clark, P.E. at www.clarkengineersprojects.com. By use of the website the plan holders shall have the option of obtaining hard copy of the Plans and Specifications and/or shall have the opportunity to submit an official bid online. Plans and proposals may be secured from Lawrence R. Clark, Engineer for Wayne County, located at 714 Hillcrest Drive, Laurel, MS 39440 upon payment of $100.00 for the plans and $100.00 for the proposals, neither of which is refundable.

All hard copy proposals shall be directed to the attention of The Wayne County Board of Supervisors with the outside of the envelope marked “Project No. SAP-77(26)S Bid Proposal for Reseal Project”. Contractor shall indicate certificate of responsibility number on the outside of the envelope. Online bids shall be accepted and opened as instructed on the website and in the Contract Documents.

Certified Check or Bid Bond for five percent (5%) of total bid payable to Wayne County and the State of Mississippi must accompany each proposal.

Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal accompanied by letter qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid, and such proposals will not be considered in making the award.
